Wth its shape of a butterfly, it shows that transformation from fossil fuels to clean renewable energies and other technologies is possible – like the earth-bound caterpillar transforms into a free-flying and independent butterfly!

Its highly efficient solar panels can generate enough energy to power the electric vehicle that pulls the Solar Butterfly, for up to 200 km a day. Everything works free of CO2. It is equiped with a living room, a bath room, a kitchen and storage for external solar panels and four people can comfortably sleep in it.

After our test drive through Europe in 2022, we have made some modifications on the SolarButterfly. We now have less panels on the roof but more external panels: With 40 m2 of solar panels on the SolarButterfly and 80 m2 of external solar panels, we can produce up to 150 kWh of solar power per day. This enables us to travel up to 220 km a day.
